Audiovisual translation, particularly dubbing, plays a crucial role in transferring linguistic content as well as the stylistic an‎d cultural features of audiovisual products. Despite the abundance of investigations on dubbing, the study of stylistic manipulation of Persian animated films dubbed into English is underestimated. The aim of this research is to investigate the stylistic changes that occurred in the English dubbed versions of four animated movies, namely, The Elephant King, Princess of Rome, The Dolphin Boy, an‎d The Last Fiction, by comparing the original Persian dialogues with their official English dubbed versions. In addition, this study examines the performance of ChatGPT in translating the same audiovisual content using both a simple pro‎mp‎t an‎d a detailed pro‎mp‎t. This research adopts a descriptive, comparative, corpus-based design an‎d utilizes Baker’s (1996) model of translation universals, including Simplification, Explicitation, Normalization, an‎d Leveling out, as the analytical framework. To account for the translation strategies not covered by Baker’s model, four additional strategies are added. The additional strategies employed are Retention, Deletion, Prosification, an‎d Exoticization. The data include dialogues extracted from the four animated movies an‎d their corresponding human an‎d AI-generated English translations. The findings reveal that human dubbing relies primarily on Leveling out. This demonstrates a great tendency toward fluent an‎d target-oriented translations. However, ChatGPT relies on Normalization, regardless of pro‎mp‎t type, indicating a tendency toward target language norms an‎d conventions. Furthermore, the use of a detailed pro‎mp‎t increases the frequency of Normalization, Explicitation, an‎d Simplification, while it reduces Retention. This suggests that pro‎mp‎t type affects stylistic preservation an‎d outcomes in translation. Human translation employs Deletion with a greater frequency than ChatGPT, mainly to avoid some problems such as lip synchronization, but ChatGPT tends to preserve source text content.

ترجمه ديداري‌شنيداري، به‌ويژه دوبله، نقش مهمي در انتقال محتواي زباني، ويژگي‌هاي سبكي و عناصر فرهنگي ايفا مي‌كند. با وجود پژوهش‌هاي فراوان در حوزه دوبله، بررسي تغييرات سبكي در دوبله انيميشن‌هاي فارسي به زبان انگليسي تاكنون كمتر مورد توجه قرار گرفته است. هدف اين پژوهش، بررسي تغييرات سبكي در دوبله انگليسي چهار انيميشن فارسي فيلشاه، شاهزاده روم، پسر دلفيني و آخرين داستان بر اساس الگوي جهان‌شمول‌هاي ترجمه بيكر و مقايسه آن با ترجمه هاي توليد شده توسط چت جي پي تي با استفاده از پرامپت ساده و با جزييات يا دقيق است. اين پژوهش از نوع توصيفي، تطبيقي و مبتني بر يررسي پيكره است. داده‌هاي پژوهش شامل ديالوگ‌هاي چهار انيميشن است. تحليل داده‌ها بر اساس چهار راهبرد پيشنهادي بيكر (1996)، شامل ساده‌سازي، آشكارسازي، هنجارسازي و همسان‌سازي انجام شد. همچنين، به‌منظور تحليل مواردي كه در چارچوب الگوي بيكر قابل تبيين نبودند، چهار راهبرد ديگر شامل حفظ، حذف، نثرسازي و بيگانه‌سازي نيز به چارچوب افزوده شد. يافته‌هاي پژوهش نشان داد كه در دوبله‌هاي انساني، راهبرد همسان‌سازي بيشترين بسامد را دارد كه بيانگر گرايش مترجمان به توليد ترجمه‌هايي روان، طبيعي و مخاطب‌محور است. در مقابل، در هر دو ترجمه توليدشده توسط چت‌جي‌پي‌تي، راهبرد هنجارسازي بيشترين فراواني را به خود اختصاص داد كه نشان‌دهنده تمايل اين مدل به پيروي از هنجارهاي زبان مقصد است. همچنين، نتايج نشان داد كه استفاده از پرامپت دقيق و با جزييات در مقايسه با پرامپت ساده، موجب افزايش كاربرد راهبردهاي هنجارسازي، آشكارسازي و ساده‌سازي و كاهش راهبرد حفظ است؛ امري كه بيانگر تأثير قابل‌توجه طراحي پرامپت بر راهبردهاي ترجمه‌اي و ويژگي‌هاي سبكي ترجمه‌هاي توليدشده توسط چت‌جي‌پي‌تي است. افزون بر اين، راهبرد حذف تقريباً تنها در دوبله‌هاي انساني مشاهده شد كه مي‌تواند ناشي از محدوديت‌هاي فني دوبله، از جمله نياز به هم‌زماني گفتار با حركت لب هاست.
