The translation of political news texts is not merely a linguistic endeavor but is deeply intertwined with ideological an‎d cultural influences. Media outlets often tailor their translations to align with specific ideological perspectives, thereby shaping audience perceptions. This study explores the intersection of ideology an‎d translation in media discourse, focusing on the translations produced by VOA Persian an‎d IRNA News Websites. The purpose of this research is to uncover an‎d analyze the ways in which social actors an‎d events are represented during the translation of news reports from English into Persian, an‎d to understan‎d the implications these representations have on the perception of the translated content. Employing a mixed-method approach, the study analyzed a corpus of translated news reports using Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to identify strategies such as Actor Description, Lexicalization, Exclusion, Euphemism, Hyperbole, etc. The results revealed that both VOA Persian an‎d IRNA employ these strategies to align their translations with their respective ideological perspectives. Actor Description an‎d Lexicalization emerged as the most frequently used strategies, highlighting the importance of word choice an‎d portrayal of social actors in shaping narratives. The study also found that, occasionally, the socio-cultural aspects of the target language could exert a greater influence on translation than the linguistic content of the source language. These findings underscore the role of translation as a tool for disseminating worldviews an‎d shaping audience perceptions. The implications of this study are significant for translation studies, media studies, an‎d social sciences, as they highlight the subtle ways biases are introduced in translation an‎d emphasize the need for critical assessment of translated news content.

ترجمه متون خبريِ سياسي تنها يك فعاليت زباني نيست، بلكه از ايدئولوژي و فرهنگ نيز تأثيرپذير مي-باشد. رسانه‌ها، اغلب، ترجمه‌هاي خود را به گونه‌اي تنظيم مي‌كنند كه با ديدگاه‌هاي ايدئولوژيكي خاصي همسو شوند و به اين ترتيب، ديدگاه مخاطبان را شكل مي‌دهند. اين مطالعه تأثير ايدئولوژي بر ترجمه‌ي متون رسانه‌اي را بررسي مي‌كند و بر ترجمه‌هاي منتشر شده توسط وب‌سايت‌هاي خبري «صداي آمريكا» و «ايرنا» تمركز دارد. هدف اين پژوهش كشف و تحليل نحوه‌ي به تصوير كشيدن افراد و رويدادها در ترجمه¬ي گزارش‌هاي خبري از انگليسي به فارسي و بررسي آثار آن بر درك محتواي ترجمه شده است. با استفاده از رويكردي تركيبي، اين مطالعه يك مجموعه از گزارش‌هاي خبري ترجمه شده را با استفاده از روش «تحليل گفتمان انتقادي» بررسي مي¬كند تا استراتژي‌هايي مانند «توصيف بازيگران»، «واژه¬گزيني»، «حذف»، «حسن تعبير»، «اغراق» و غيره را شناسايي كند. نتايج تحقيق نشان مي¬دهد كه هر دو وب‌سايت «صداي آمريكا» و «ايرنا» از اين استراتژي‌ها براي همسو كردن ترجمه‌هاي خود با ديدگاه‌هاي ايدئولوژيكي و سياسي خود بهره مي¬جويند. «توصيف بازيگران» و «واژگان‌سازي» استراتژي¬هايي بودند كه بيش از سايرين به كار گرفته شده بودند. كاربرد پرتكرار اين دو استراتژي اهميت انتخاب واژگان و نحوه¬ي به نمايش كشيدنِ بازيگران اجتماعي در شكل‌دهي به روايت‌ها را نشان مي‌دهد. اين مطالعه همچنين نشان داد كه گاهي اوقات تأثيرِ جنبه‌هاي اجتماعي-فرهنگي زبان مقصد بر ترجمه، بيشتر از تأثيرِ محتواي زباني متن مبدأ است. اين يافته‌ها نقش ترجمه به عنوان ابزاري براي انتشار ديدگاه‌ها و شكل‌دهي به فهم مخاطبان را برجسته مي‌كند. پيامدهاي اين تحقيق براي مطالعات ترجمه، مطالعات رسانه‌اي و علوم اجتماعي قابل توجه است، زيرا به روش‌هاي ظريفِ معرفي تعصبات در ترجمه اشاره دارد و بر نياز به ارزيابي انتقادي محتواي خبري ترجمه شده تأكيد مي‌كند.
