This study aimed to investigate the effects of teacher corrective feedback on Iraqi intermediate EFL learnersʹ writing accuracy, anxiety, an‎d motivation when writing narrative an‎d argumentative essays. Convenience sampling was used to selec‎t participants from the available population of undergraduate EFL learners at university of Diwaniyah. From a pool of 49 participants, 30 participants were selec‎ted based on their scores on the Oxford Quick Placement Test. The participants had an average age of around 23, ranging from 21 to 25. A quasi-experimental design was employed, with an experimental group an‎d a control group. The participants were instructed to write two types of argumentative an‎d narrative essays an‎d were encouraged to support their ideas with examples an‎d evidence. In order to determine if the treatment had any impact on the writing accuracy of the participants, the posttest resembling the pretest was given to the participants. The results indicated that teachers’ corrective feedback had a significant effect on improving participants’ writing accuracy when writing narrative an‎d argumentative essays. The results also showed that teachers’ corrective feedback had a significant effect on reducing participants’ writing anxiety. Additionally, the motivation of the experimental group after the treatment was significantly higher than before the treatment, indicating the positive impact of corrective feedback on motivation. Teachers should provide diverse types of corrective feedback, while learners should actively engage with feedback for error correction, an‎d curriculum developers should incorporate explicit instruction on the importance of corrective feedback to improve writing accuracy. The implications of this study are both theoretically an‎d practically significant.

اين پژوهش در صدد مطالعه تاثير بازخورد تصحيحي معلم بر درستي نگارش, اضطراب و انگيزه نگارش فراگيران سطح متوسطه عراقي زبان انگليسي در نوشتن متون روايي و مباحثه اي ، مي باشد. براي انتخاب شركت كنندگان در اين پژوهش، از بين جمعيت آماري دانشجويان كارشناسي زبان انگليسي در دانشگاه ديوانيه عراق، تعداد سي نفر از مجموع چهل و نه نفر انتخاب شدند. مبناي انتخاب آنها نمره اكتسابي آنها در آزمون تعيين سطح زبان آكسفوردOQPT بود. شركت كنندگان در محدوده سني بين 21 تا 25 ساله قرار داشتند. در اين پژوهش از طرح شبه تجربي آزمايشي استفاده كرديد كه در آن شركت كنندگان به دو گروه تيمار و كنترل تفسيم شدند و به گروه تيمار دو گونه نگارش روايي و مباحثه اي آموزش داده شد و از آنها خواسته شد كه نكات مورد نگارش را با ذكر شواهد و مثال در نوشته خود قيد نمايند. براي تعيين اينكه آيا آموزش بر گروه تيمار تاثيري در ميزان درستي و دقت در نگارش بوده است يا خير ، يك آزمون نهايي كه شبيه آزمون اوليه تحقيق بود به شركت كنندگان داده شد و نتايج نشان داد كه بازخورد معلمين تاثيرات قابل توجهي در ميزان درستي نگارش شركت كنندگان در نوشتن متون روايي و مباحثه اي داشته است. اين پژوهش همچنين نشان داد كه تاثير قابل ملاحظه اي در كاهش اضطراب در هنگام نگارش در گروه تيمار داشته است.علاوه بر اين سطح انگيزش گروه تيمار به طور قابل ملاحظه اي در مقايسه با قبل از تحقيق بالا رفت و اين نشانگر تاثير مثبت بازخورد روي انگيزش ميباشد. نتيجه عملي اين پژوهش اين است كه نه تنها فراگيران زبان بايد به بازخوردها توجه نموده بلكه برنامه ريزان درسي و آموزگاران نيز بايد بازخورد تصحيحي را در برنامه درسي خود قرار دهند تا دقت و درستي نگارش را افزايش دهند. نتايج عملي و نظري اين تحقيق داراي اهميت است ..
