This thesis focuses on the analysis of the translation of "Rhinoceros," a play by Eugene Ionesco, translated from French to Persian by Jalal Al-e Ahmad. Relying on Vinay an‎d Darbelnetʹs comparative stylistic theory, this research has explored the direct an‎d oblique translation techniques used in this translation. First, relying on Vinay an‎d Darbelnetʹs comparative stylistic theory, we explored how Âl-é Ahmad translated Eugene Ionescoʹs "Rhinoceros"? an‎d secondly, how Âl-é Ahmad managed to maintain fidelity an‎d beauty in the translation of Eugene Ionescoʹs "Rhinoceros"? This study aimed to address two main objectives; analyze the translation of Eugene Ionescoʹs "Rhinoceros" carried out by Âl-é Ahmad, based on Vinay an‎d Darbelnetʹs theory an‎d analyze the beauty an‎d fidelity of the translation of Eugene Ionescoʹs "Rhinoceros" carried out by Âl-é Ahmad. The results of this research show that Jalal Al-e Ahmad succeeded in striking a balance between fidelity to the source text an‎d creativity in the target language. This work also highlights the fundamental role of translators as cultural mediators an‎d the complexity of the literary translation process. در اين پژوهش به بررسي ترجمه‌ي نمايشنامه‌ي كرگدن اثر اوژن يونسكو پرداختيم كه توسط جلال آل احمد از زبان فرانسه به فارسي ترجمه شده است پرداختيم. با تكيه بر نظريه سبك‌شناسي مقايسه‌اي ويني و داربلنت، اين پژوهش به بررسي تكنيك‌هاي ترجمه‌ي مستقيم و غيرمستقيم پرداخته است. نخست، با تكيه بر نظريه مقايسه‌اي سبك شناسي وينه و داربلنت، بررسي كرده‌ايم كه چگونه آل احمد ترجمه‌ي "كرگدن" اوژن يونسكو را انجام داده است؟ و دوم چگونه آل احمد توانسته است در ترجمه‌ي "كرگدن" اوژن يونسكو وفاداري و زيبايي را حفظ كند؟ اين مطالعه درصدد دستيابي به دو هدف اصلي بوده است؛ تحليل ترجمه‌ي "كرگدن" اوژن يونسكو توسط آل احمد بر اساس نظريه وينه و داربلنت و تحليل زيبايي و وفاداري ترجمه‌ي "كرگدن" اوژن يونسكو توسط آل احمد. نتايج اين تحقيق نشان مي‌دهد كه جلال آل احمد توانسته است تعادل بين وفاداري به متن اصلي و خلاقيت در زبان مقصد را برقرار كند. اين پژوهش همچنين به نقش اساسي مترجمان به عنوان واسطه‌هاي فرهنگي و پيچيدگي فرآيند ترجمه ادبي مي‌پردازد.
