For a long time, people from different societies have been interested in the concept of peace. The goal sought by a person is to achieve inner peace. This crucial issue has been addressed in many philosophical an‎d psychological texts, as well as in the literature of various countries. Comparative literature was founded in the early 19th century an‎d, according to some, Goethe, the pioneer of modern German literature, was one of its main founders with the concept of world literature. Persian literature, which comes from a very rich an‎d recognized civilization in the world, has presented the world with a great treasure of knowledge an‎d wisdom. Maulana is one of the great Persian poets who, like Goethe, has humane an‎d universal thoughts, far from prejudices. He advocates good qualities such as tolerance, forgiveness, benevolence, free thinking, concealment of faults, etc., which is the basis for establishing peace an‎d reconciliation. To properly analyze this notion of peace in literature, we have chosen two novels, one English an‎d the other French: 1984 is the name of a famous book by George Orwell. an‎d Journey to the End of the Night is one of the most famous works of Louis Ferdinan‎d Céline. To have a good intercultural study on the notion of peace in the Eastern thought of Maulana an‎d the Western thought of these two French an‎d English works, we try to have a comparison in world thought by also referring to the UN Declaration of Human Rights. The objective of this research is to understan‎d how the Persian literary canon could play a crucial role in the peaceful resolution of conflicts an‎d the prevention of war an‎d violence.

براي مدت طولاني، مردم جوامع مختلف به مفهوم صلح علاقه مند بوده¬اند. هدفي كه هر فردي به دنبال آن است، رسيدن به آرامش دروني است. اين موضوع مهم در بسياري از متون فلسفي و روانشناختي و همچنين در ادبيات كشورهاي مختلف مورد بررسي قرار گرفته است. ادبيات تطبيقي در اوايل قرن نوزدهم پايه گذاري شد و به گفته برخي، گوته، پيشگام ادبيات مدرن آلمان، يكي از پايه گذاران اصلي آن با مفهوم ادبيات جهان بود. ادبيات فارسي برآمده از تمدني بسيار غني و صاحب نام، گنجينه عظيمي از دانش و خرد را به جهانيان عرضه كرده است. مولانا از شاعران بزرگ پارسي زبان است كه همچون گوته داراي انديشه هاي انساني و جهاني و به دور از تعصب است. از صفات خوب مانند بردباري، گذشت، خيرخواهي، آزاد انديشي، كتمان عيوب و غيره حمايت مي كند كه اساس برقراري صلح و آشتي است. براي تحليل مفهوم صلح در ادبيات، دو رمان، يكي انگليسي و ديگري فرانسوي را انتخاب كرديم: 1984 نام كتاب معروفي از جورج اورول است. و سفر به انتهاي شب يكي از مشهورترين آثار لوئي فردينان سلين است. براي مطالعه بينافرهنگي مفهوم صلح در انديشه شرقي مولانا و غربي از اين دو اثر فرانسوي و انگليسي، سعي بر اين است با مراجعه به اعلاميه حقوق بشر سازمان ملل، مقايسه اي در انديشه جهاني داشته باشيم. هدف اين پژوهش درك اين موضوع است كه چگونه ادب فارسي مي تواند نقشي تعيين كننده در حل مسالمت آميز منازعات و جلوگيري از جنگ و خشونت داشته باشد.
