English Abstract
Translation as the pivotal point of foreign language teaching, translation was long banned from the language classroom. Nevertheless, it seems that the general attitude towards translation has begun to change. There is a rapidly growing body of research literature indicating that translation in teaching may help students learn better (Cook G. , 2012). The current study was an attempt to gauge the effect of the Translation in Language Teaching (TILT) on learning present perfect by intermediate EFL learners. This study also endeavored to explore the perceptions of learners about using translation in teaching present perfect through a set of interview sessions. To this end, thirty-two Persian-speaking learners of English were recruited for the purposes of the current study (n=32). Sixteen participants were randomly assigned to each group (experimental and control). The control group was taught the present perfect tense based on the tenets of TBLT without any use of translation and all the way through, L2. While the experimental group was taught the same grammatical structure using translation games. As for the quantitative strand, a pre-test, post-recognition and post-production tests were administered. Independent Samples t-test results indicated that there was a statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control group at the time of post-test in terms of grammatical accuracy. The results from the interviews corroborated this finding and suggested that, overall, students had favorable attitudes towards the technique and expressed a desire to continue learning through TTBLT. This study concludes by elaborating on TILT, proposing a model of translation in language teaching, a discussion of implications, and suggestions for further research.

در اين تحقيق، تاثير بازي هاي ترجمه بر يادگيري گرامر انگليسي حال كامل (Present Perfect) بررسي خواهد شد. اين تحقيق در دسته تحقيقات تركيبي ( كمي و كيفي) قرار خواهد گرفت. جهت انجام اين تحقيق حدوداً سي و دو شركت كننده در دو دسته كنترل و آزمايش قرار خواهند گرفتند. ( 16 نفر گروه كنترل و 16 نفر گروه آزمايش) در گروه آزمايش با روش ترجمه و بازي، گرامر حال كامل به زبان آموزان تدريس خواهد شد و در گروه كنترل، تدريس بدون بازي ها و فعاليت هاي ترجمه انجام خواهد شد. نتايج اين تحقيق ميتواند در طراحي كتاب هاي آموزشي نقش مهمي ايفا كند. همچنين اميد است نتايج اين تحقيق تاثير بسزايي در تهيه برنامه آموزشي دوره هاي روش تدريس داشته باشد.
همچنين براي اطمينان از نتيجه قسمت كمي مطالعه از تعدادي از شركت كنندگان گروه ازمايش بصورت رندوم درخواست خواهد شد در مصاحبه شركت كنند و معايب و مزاياي آن را شناسايي كنند.
