Reading comprehension is a pivotal skill for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students, as it impacts their language acquisition an‎d academic success. While a number of studies have been conducted on improving students’ reading skill, there is a paucity of study on exploring the potential of personification for teaching an‎d learning English reading. In light of this, this quasi-experimental study delves into the potential an‎d benefits of integration personification within EFL reading classes through the use of mobile technology. Personification can help convey the message faster an‎d more vividly. It can enhance students’ imagination an‎d connection to the text which results in more efficient comprehension. The study was carried out among 60 tenth-grade female students at a high school in Iran. Employing a combination of questionnaires an‎d a repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) applied to four series of tests, the study examined the students’ perceptions an‎d academic achievements. The results revealed that students exhibited a positive attitude toward the incorporation of personification in their English reading classes through mobile devices an‎d achieved better reading comprehension results. This suggests promising aspects of enhancing EFL learning experiences an‎d underscores the significance of innovative pedagogical approaches in enhancing reading comprehension. Consequently, the proficiency of EFL students. Findings of the present study can have implications for EFL teachers an‎d learners an‎d, material developers an‎d EFL researchers.

درك مطلب يك مهارت محوري براي يادگيرندگان زبان انگليسي به عنوان زبان خارجي(EFL) است، چرا كه به طرز چشم‌گيري بر روي تسهيل فرآيند يادگيري زبان و موفقيت عمومي آموزشي آن‌ها تأثير مي‌گذارد. با توجه به اين موضوع، اين مطالعه شبه‌تجربي به امكانات و مزاياي گنجاندن جان بخشي در كلاس‌هاي خواندار انگليسي از طريق استفاده از دستگاه هاي ارتباطي همراه مي‌پردازد. جان بخشي مي‌تواند كمك كند تا پيام به صورت سريع‌تر و زنده‌تري منتقل شود و با افزايش تخيل و برقراري ارتباط دانش‌آموزان با متن، منجر به تفهيم كارآمدتري شود. پژ.هش حاضر بر روي 60 دانش‌آموز دختر پايه دهم در يك دبيرستان در ايران انجام شد. با استفاده از تركيبي از پرسش‌نامه‌ها و تحليل نتايح چهار سري آزمون توسط تحليل واريانس اندازه گيري هاي مكرر ANOVA، نگرش‌ و پيشرفت‌هاي تحصيلي دانش‌آموزان بررسي شد. نتايج اين مطالعه نشان مي دهد كه دانش‌آموزان نسبت به بره گيري از جان بخشي در كلاس‌هاي خواندار انگليسي خود از طريق دستگاه‌هاي ارنباطي همراه، نگرش مثبتي دارند و نتايج بهتري در درك مطلب به دست آوردند. اين نشان مي‌دهد كه رويكردهاي پژورشي نوآورانه در افزايش تفهيم مطالعاتي و در نتيجه تسلط يادگيرندگان زبان انگليسي نقش مهمي دارند. نتايح اين مطالعه مي تواند پيشنهاداتي براي دبيران زبان انگليسي، دانش آموزان، مولفان و پژوهشگران اين حيطه داشته باشد.
