Analitical Comparison of Syntactic Structure of Gasidas of Anvari with his Ghazals an‎d Gitʹas

Most researchers who have studied the life an‎d works of Anvari Abivardi have noted the existence of differences in his language an‎d mode of expression across various poetic forms, particularly between his qasidas (odes) on one han‎d, an‎d his ghazals (lyric poems) an‎d qitaʿ (fragments) on the other. These observations have often been qualitative an‎d based on general impressions. The present research seeks to test these observations on an objective, quantitative basis an‎d to determine the precise scope an‎d characteristics of these differences. In this study, an attempt has been made, through a statistical an‎d analytical method, to extract an‎d compare the frequency of simple sentences versus complex sentences in the three main poetic forms of Anvari’s poetry (qasida, ghazal, qitaʿ). Additionally, the arrangement of sentence elements an‎d syntactic constructions in each form will be examined. The aim of this quantitative analysis is to define the boundaries of the syntactic layer of Anvari’s style in each of these forms; in other words, to determine whether Anvari employed a distinct grammar an‎d sentence pattern in each form. After enumerating an‎d describing these syntactic differences, the final step of the research will be to explain the intrinsic an‎d extrinsic reasons influencing these differences. Through this approach, this study attempts to build a bridge between formal linguistic analysis an‎d the interpretive reading of the works.
