It tells the story of a young girl named Saliha, who embarks on a perilous journey amidst captivity, alienation, an‎d migration. Within this narrative, historical transformations in Sudan are recounted, blended with reality an‎d imagination. The author, by linking individual narrative with historical facts, portrays both the collapse of a civilization an‎d the formation of a new identity.
