تبيين نقش بلوغ عاطفي در ايفاي وظيفه بندگي با تاكيد بر نهج البلاغه

In contemporary society, psychological pressures, emotional instability, an‎d inadequate emotion regulation not only threaten mental health but also affect the quality of one’s relationship with God an‎d the sustainability of religious behaviors. The central problem addressed in this study is that servitude, as the ultimate purpose of human creation, can become superficial, unstable, an‎d at times reactive if it is not grounded in a certain level of emotional maturity. Accordingly, this research, drawing on the teachings of Nahj al-Balagha an‎d Daniel Goleman’s theory of emotional intelligence, seeks to elucidate the connection between emotional maturity an‎d servitude, demonstrating how components such as self-awareness, emotional self-regulation, intrinsic motivation, empathy, an‎d emotional balance can foster conscious, stable, an‎d meaningful worship. The primary aim of the study is to analyze the role of emotional maturity in fulfilling the duty of servitude according to the Nahj al-Balagha an‎d to identify the common elements between contemporary psychology an‎d Islamic teachings. Employing an analytical–content-based methodology with an interpretive approach, the study extracts an‎d analyzes data through conceptual analysis of the sermons, letters, an‎d wisdoms of Nahj al-Balagha in conjunction with Goleman’s emotional intelligence framework. The findings indicate that emotional maturity not only facilitates servitude but constitutes an intrinsic pillar for realizing true devotion; without emotion regulation, emotional self-awareness, an‎d intrinsic motivation, sincerity, piety, an‎d persistence in worship cannot be fully achieved. Furthermore, the results reveal a profound alignment between the teachings of Nahj al-Balagha on emotion management, forbearance, emotional moderation, an‎d empathy, an‎d the components of emotional intelligence, suggesting their potential as an effective model for contemporary spiritual an‎d religious development. Overall, this study demonstrates that servitude rooted in emotional maturity is conscious, voluntary, an‎d sustainable, guiding individuals toward psychological tranquility, ethical balance, an‎d proximity to God.
