Examining the compatibility of symbols an‎d signs of Iranian nationality with the teachings of Islam

One of the controversial cultural, political, an‎d social challenges in the current world is the identity crisis in human societies. The alignment of national identity an‎d religious identity can resolve this crisis, especially in the multicultural society of Islamic Iran. In the pluralistic Iranian-Islamic society, the adaptation of religion an‎d nationality has always been the goal of scholars an‎d people. This research intends to examine the compatibility of symbols an‎d signs of Iranian nationality with the teachings of Islam an‎d to examine the interaction an‎d adaptation of national symbols an‎d manifestations an‎d religious teachings. In this research, which was conducted based on the library method, it first examines the verses an‎d narrations that have been mentioned in the field of ethnicity an‎d nationality to explain how this interaction occurs, an‎d then offers suggestions for further alignment of national identity an‎d religious identity in the Iranian-Islamic society. Today, the coexistence of national identity an‎d religious identity in the Islamic Republic system has caused the national flag an‎d anthem, which are considered new symbols an‎d manifestations of national identity, to have a completely religious content. There is also evidence that the thousan‎ds of years old Nowruz ritual has a good interaction with the teachings of Islam. This affinity is such that it can be said that our religious identity is part of our national identity.
