Analysis of Israel-US Relations an‎d Its Impact on Palestine (1945-2023)

Abstract Since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, there have been numerous wars between Arabs an‎d Israelis, an‎d numerous resolutions an‎d peace plans have been presented by the United Nations an‎d some governments to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Meanwhile, the United States, as the main supporter of Israel in the world, also supports the formation of an independent Palestinian state, an‎d plans have been presented by various American presidents in this regard. The main question of this research is: "What effect does the US-Israeli relationship have on the Palestinian issue?" The theoretical framework of this research is the Copenhagen School approach based on Barry Buzanʹs regional security theory. The findings of this research, which was conducted based on a descriptive-analytical method, indicate that the influence of the US government in Israel has caused the US to present a peace plan to end the conflict between the parties more than other important international actors. Whenever the US has exerted political, diplomatic an‎d economic pressure on the two sides of the conflict, they have been forced to sit at the negotiating table. Otherwise, Palestine an‎d Israel have not been very willing to advance the negotiations. It should also be noted that the current situation may not fully satisfy US interests, but it does not endanger US interests either. As a result, the US intends to choose a middle course of action to take into account the interests of Israel on the one han‎d an‎d the considerations of the Palestinians an‎d Arab states on the other.
