War, as one of the most important phenomena of human societies, has important effects and its effects on different levels of society. The positive and negative consequences of war usually remain for a long time and affect all sectors of society. Among the complications of war, there are groups of veterans after war accidents; who face special physical, psychological and social challenges, and they constantly need government and social support. Families of veterans are also facing many problems.
The representation of veterans in movies, in addition to showing their heroism, also depicts their daily life. These representations have helped shape public opinion and social support and can change societyʹs attitude towards the realities of these peopleʹs lives. Knowing the daily life of veterans helps policy makers to make better plans to improve their living conditions.
This research deals with the analysis of the key themes in the film works of the holy defense of Hatamikia; Using thematic analysis method, this research identifies and explains themes such as social relations, individual and social identity, economic and social challenges, physical and mental injuries, and religious and cultural values and beliefs. The research results show that the daily life of veterans is depicted in these films with key themes such as physical and psychological challenges, social and economic damages, and the search for their identity.
Finally, with the aim of understanding the society of the challenges and experience of daily life of veterans, this research has promoted empathy and social support for this social group.
