Rural women, as a key segment in the sustainable development of rural communities, play a significant role; however, their quality of life is influenced by economic, social, geographical, and service-related factors. This study aimed to investigate the factors affecting the quality of life of rural women in Nain region. The present research is applied and descriptive-analytical, with a population of 337 rural women. Sampling was conducted using the convenience method, and data were collected through a standardized questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using appropriate tests, including one-sample t-test, independent t-test, ANOVA, Friedman test, and linear regression. The results indicated that geographical factors were significant at p < 0.05. Among these factors, fertile land conditions (mean = 4.718), favorable village location (mean = 4.671), accessible roads to the city (mean = 4.555), and proper transportation (mean = 4.226) had the greatest impact on womenʹs quality of life. Moreover, a significant difference in satisfaction was observed between housewives and employed women regarding employment status (housewives mean = 3.065, employed mean = 2.432) and financial independence (housewives mean = 2.532, employed mean = 2.322). The most influential proposed strategies included improving health and medical services, establishing microcredit funds for women, and providing sustainable job opportunities. Regression analysis demonstrated that these strategies could predict 99% of the variance in womenʹs quality of life. The study concludes that improving the quality of life of rural women requires a combination of economic, educational, service-related, and infrastructural measures, and rural development planning should be comprehensive and women-centered. These findings can serve as a practical guide for policymakers and rural development planners.
