In the last few decades, Lipmanʹs works are in the focus of attention in the discussion of philosophy for children. Here, in this dissertation , we are going to study the social dimensions of the philosophy for children with focus on the Lipman work. By social dimensions, we mean the parts that are related to the philosophy of ethics and the philosophy of social sciences, which also include the two fields of law and politics. In this way, by referring to Lipmanʹs works, attention was paid to the concepts that play a central role in social sciences. The most important concepts that were discussed are: dialogue, society and the role of philosophy in it, ethics, care, respect for others, freedom, democracy, fairness and justice, determinism and free will, justice, laws and citizenship rights. This research measures the importance of these elements in education so that we can take advantage of these features in our educational society. The main goal was to determine which socio-ethical elements Lipman used in the stories in his works, or in other words, which social lifestyle he focused on in his philosophy. The research method of this thesis is mainly the library method in the first two chapters, and the story analysis method is used in the third chapter and part of the second chapter. The research structure has three chapters. The first chapter is the introductory discussions and concepts that include the introduction of Lippmanʹs program and the expression of the platforms that will later shape the social dimensions of P4C (philosophy for children). The second chapter is dedicated to the fields of social discussion in Lippmannʹs philosophy for children, which firstly focuses on critical, creative and meditative thinking, and discusses the values of democracy and the history of research in a collective way, which is Lippmannʹs method. The third chapter deals with the social dimensions of the content of Lisa and Markʹs stories using the method of content analysis, and then attention is paid to the social and moral foundations of Lipmanʹs works. In the final summary, it is also clear that Lippmanʹs works are not morally and value neutral, and most of the concepts he deals with follow a specific content and direction.
