The Karbala incident can be considered the most influential historical event in the first century AH after the Prophetʹs mission and migration. The historical context and complex political-ideological contexts that ultimately led to the Karbala incident were, more than any other issue, influenced by the numerous divisions, classifications, divisions, and interpretations of the Quran and the beginning of new trends that emerged, especially after the death of the Prophet (PBUH), leading to the redefinition of the values of the pre-Islamic society. Regardless of the various political, social, and moral reasons for this incident, one of the most important aspects of the Karbala incident was the formation of a special and thought-provoking literature around such themes as values, ethics, social and theological issues, and politics and government, which manifested itself in the sermons, speeches, and speeches of Imam Hussein (PBUH) and his companions and relatives. An analysis and examination of the content of these sermons shows that what was the main intellectual conflict in the Karbala incident?
This study attempts to examine, in an analytical manner and by focusing on the content of the sermons and speeches of Imam Hussein and his entourage, some of the most important and influential themes of these sermons. The results show that various themes, including ideological, political, moral, etc., were mentioned in all these sermons, which clearly reflected the complex divisions and conflicts in the first few decades after the death of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family.
