Jami is one of the most prominent poets and writers of Khorasan in the 9th century AH. He left behind eight valuable works such as Divan of Poems, Mathnavi of the Seven Colors, and other works in the fields of mysticism, wisdom, traditional sciences, intellectual sciences, and linguistics. Jamiʹs literary works are mostly known for his ghazals and masnavis. His odes are fluent and simple, but sometimes he goes too far in rhyming and using poetic literary devices. Persian-speaking poets, in addition to their skills in literary arts and sciences, also have considerable expertise in the field of intellectual sciences. Jamiʹs poems are simple and free from verbal embellishments, but sometimes some of his poems are obscure and difficult, and this is due to the presence of scientific terms, such as: the science of medicine, and this issue can be searched for in the poems of other poets such as: Saadi, Khaghani, Nizami, and... The reader cannot relate to the poem and understand the concept that the author or poet has in mind without knowing these medical terms. Extracting these types of words from ancient literary texts and explaining them is one of the most useful ways to solve problems and correct texts. Given the importance of the research topic, this thesis is a library-based exploration of the existing medical vocabulary and terms and evidence related to medicine in Jamiʹs Haft-Urang Masnavi, in order to show those interested in Persian language and literature the poetʹs mastery and skill in medical science, Jamiʹs poetic power, and the extent of his use of medical terms in his poems. By studying the second part of the third chapter of the thesis, the reader will realize Jamiʹs weakness in mastery and lack of skill in using medical words and terms in his literary works, especially the Haft-Urang Masnavi. This thesis is written in four chapters, the first chapter of which is about general topics such as: Introduction, research background and research method, and other topics such as: the history of the beginning of the science of medicine, the writing of medical works, and the course of medicine in the Timurid and Safavid eras. The second chapter is about Jamiʹs life, religion, and works. and finally, he is the third chapter, the first part of which deals with the topic of health and factors affecting health, the subject of disease and its stages and symptoms, the discussion of the human body structure, medicine, etc., the second part of which deals with the study of medical terms and evidence related to it in an alphabetical manner. Also, in this chapter, the history of the use of medicines and types of medicines, other treatment methods are explained. In the fourth chapter, the conclusion and list of sources and references are stated.
