Analysis of The Impact of the Growth of Small an‎d Medium Units on the Economic Growth of selec‎ted Countries in the MENA Region

Small an‎d medium-sized enterprises, as one of the main pillars of the economy of developing countries, play an important role in the process of economic growth. The main objective of this research was to analyze the impact of the growth of small an‎d medium-sized units on economic growth in selec‎ted countries of the MENA region during the years 2000 to 2023. The research was applied in terms of purpose an‎d descriptive in terms of research method. To collect data, reputable international statistical sources were used, an‎d the data analysis method was based on a dynamic econometric model an‎d using the generalized moments technique in the Eviews software environment. The results of the research showed that all variables of the model, including the production of small an‎d medium-sized enterprises, exports, human development index, bank credit to small an‎d medium-sized enterprises, an‎d technology, had a positive an‎d significant effect on GDP. Finally, these results emphasize the importance of various factors in the economic growth of countries an‎d also the need to pay attention to variables such as human development, bank credit, an‎d technological development of small an‎d medium-sized enterprises to facilitate sustainable an‎d long-term economic growth.
