The role of divine rituals in strengthening the family, relying on the mourning an‎d joy ceremonies of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.)

The family, as a fundamental an‎d progressive institution, is responsible for providing support an‎d livelihood needs to bring spouses to desired peace, an‎d the role of the family in childbearing, raising children, an‎d socializing them is very distinguished. For this reason, the manifest religion of Islam has taken the necessary grounds an‎d arrangements for the growth of human virtues, deepening beliefs, an‎d arousing positive passion an‎d feelings. One of these arrangements is that it has introduced the infallible leaders (peace be upon them) as role models an‎d guides, an‎d has linked the feelings an‎d emotions of the faithful people to their love. One of the most important manifestations of expressing love an‎d devotion to the infallible leaders (peace be upon them) is organizing an‎d participating in feasts an‎d celebrations, as well as mourning an‎d sorrow gatherings for those noble people. The aim of this research was to examine the role of divine rituals in strengthening the family, relying on the mourning an‎d joy ceremonies of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). This research was conducted using library resources an‎d a descriptive-analytical approach. Therefore, at the beginning, the meaning of divine rituals an‎d its examples were examined to clarify that the revival of mourning an‎d joy ceremonies of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) is one of the most important manifestations of the veneration of divine rituals in Islamic-Iranian culture. Next, the individual an‎d collective effects of participating in such religious ceremonies were explored. Finally, by analyzing the relationship between the two, the role of divine rituals of mourning an‎d joy ceremonies of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) on the characteristics of family consolidation, as determined from the verses of the Quran an‎d interpretative sources, was proven an‎d led to the following results: The effect of the capacities of the mourning an‎d joy ceremonies of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) was divided into two groups: individual an‎d collective; individual capacities include: health an‎d well-being, strengthening the role of parents, restoring religious identity, psychological effects, an‎d a sense of group belonging. The impact of collective capacities includes: social vitality, social cohesion, leisure an‎d entertainment, education an‎d awareness, an‎d normative unity; then, under each capacity, its impact on the Quranic ideal family with the characteristic of consolidation was explained, an‎d thus it was proven that the veneration of divine rituals plays a role in strengthening the family.
