Abstract
The Tasnim commentary by Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli is one of the commentaries that has attracted the attention of Quran scholars in the present era. Various studies are conducted annually on this commentary. One of the notable points in this commentary is the use of the views of other commentators and scholars, which of course are often accompanied by the commentatorʹs own views; after presenting the views of others, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli has confirmed or rejected those views. One of the commentaries that has been frequently referred to in various Tasnim discussions is Zamakhshariʹs Tafsir al-Kashf, which is one of the most important commentaries of the Holy Quran and is especially famous among commentators for its eloquence and rhetoric. Of course, the author of Tasnim critically examines various sayings, and Zamakhshariʹs views are no exception to this feature, and most of the references to this commentary have been examined by Javadi Amoli with various evidence. In any case, considering the numerous references of Javadi Amoli from Zamakhshari and the importance of references in understanding the commentatorʹs point of view, this article tries to examine as many of these references as possible in parts 5 and 6 and to specify Javadi Amoliʹs point of view towards each of these references.
The method of writing the present research is as follows: the important references of these two parts from volumes 18 to 23 of the Tasnim commentary are collected and then divided into four general categories. In most references, under each case, first, in order to clarify the context of the verse and the case referred to, the views of several commentators are expressed in accordance with each opinion, and then the views of the author of Tasnim and Al-Kashf and the reference in question are examined in these two commentaries; finally, a brief general conclusion is made about each. and this general conclusion makes the path clear. In parts 5 and 6, nearly 50 references from this commentator on jurisprudential, theological, literary, exegetical and narrational issues have been examined.
According to the results of this research, the most references are related to exegetical and literary opinions. Also, the most opinions accepted by Ayatollah Javadi Amoli are related to theological and literary, and the least approved opinions are related to jurisprudential opinions, which means that it can be said that almost none of Zamakhshariʹs jurisprudential views have been accepted by the author of Tasnim. Considering the difference in the religion of these two commentators, there is usually the greatest difference in views on jurisprudential issues and verses of rulings, and in literary issues, due to Zamakhshariʹs expertise, the most references approved by Javadi Amoli are seen.
