"Disciple-educating" signifies the realization of the true essence of education an‎d training within the interconnected system of teacher an‎d student. In the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.), student mentoring is established as a fundamental principle of education an‎d training. The Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt, through their actions an‎d words, exemplified a perfect model of a mentor an‎d teacher who prioritized the growth an‎d development of their students. The objective of this research, conducted using an analytical-documentary approach, is to identify an‎d elucidate student mentoring within the thought an‎d educational approach of Imam Jaʹfar al-Sadiq (a.s.). Based on this, the most significant findings an‎d achievements of this research include: the identification of the principles of student mentoring, such as emphasizing studentsʹ talents in various fields, the principle of ranking an‎d referring students to each other, the principle of practical application of learning, the principle of personality development an‎d recommending students in their absence, the principle of specialization, the principle of constructive criticism, the principle of justice, an‎d the principle of humility. To realize these principles, methods such as talent identification, rationalism, debate an‎d discussion, an‎d motivation an‎d encouragement have been identified. Moreover, obstacles to student mentoring in personal, cultural, an‎d political dimensions have been examined.
