This thesis examines the Quranic and narrational propositions related to the spiritual health of physicians, particularly in their interactions with difficult-to-treat patients. Spiritual health, defined as possessing a standard level of adequacy in cognitive and behavioral engagement with the metaphysical and unseen realms, is investigated as a fundamental need for physicians facing professional challenges. While most studies focus on patients, this research identifies the needs of physicians. The study analyzes various human relationships (with God, with others, with oneself, and with the universe) based on Islamic principles. Additionally, it explores the meaning of suffering and death and its connection to love for God, aiming to present an integrated system of spiritual health. Furthermore, different perspectives on spiritual health are examined to clarify the diversity of opinions and definitions in this field. The research also considers how to achieve spiritual health in light of individualsʹ varying capacities. Using qualitative methods and a descriptive phenomenological approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with twenty physicians to extract, categorize, and analyze their needs. Subsequently, using descriptive-analytical methods and library resources, relevant verses and narrations were selected and elucidated according to these needs. The primary objective of this research is to identify Quranic and narrational propositions related to the spiritual health of physicians and to examine their impact on various dimensions of health, including psychological, physical, and social well-being. Physicians require significant spiritual support and health due to their close interactions with difficult-to-treat patients. The findings indicate that Quranic and narrational propositions effectively cover various aspects of spiritual health and the needs of physicians. Moreover, physiciansʹ spiritual health directly influences the quality of their medical services and can enhance the emotional well-being of their patients.Physicians should recognize that their goal is not merely physical treatment; rather, promoting spiritual health toward a higher objective—closeness to God—should also be considered. Love for God forms the core of their behaviors, grounded in a correct understanding of God.This research presents innovative approaches to the spiritual health of physicians and examines its various dimensions, offering significant potential for positive impacts on global physician interactions and improving the quality of healthcare services in socie.
