The present study aimed to "develop a competency model for managers through a systematic review of studies in Iran." This research, in terms of its nature, is secondary and descriptive, employing a systematic review methodology. The population of this study included all articles on the topic of managerial competency models published in reputable Iranian scientific-research journals between 2013 and 2023, accessible through databases such as SID.ir, Noormags.com, Magiran.com. Furthermore, 66% of the competency models were developed in the service sector, with less focus on the production sector in this field. Based on the compiled managerial competency models, a comprehensive competency framework can be delineated, comprising four dimensions: Managerial-Executive Competencies: Change management, strategic management, performance management, empowerment, human resource management, managerial intelligence, market management, environmental awareness, decision-making and problem-solving, foresight, meritocracy, and leadership.
Individual-Personal Competencies: Resilience, experience, integrity, flexibility, learning orientation, perfectionism, patience, emotional stability, religious and ethical values, commitment, rule adherence, and self-confidence.
Interpersonal-Interactive Competencies: Team building, negotiation, influence and impact, stakeholder engagement, conflict management, networking, inspiring hope, effective communication, emotional intelligence, and empathy.
Specialized-Technical Competencies: Knowledge of specialized domain expertise, technical
