Scholars of religious sciences have mentioned about the sciences required for the interpretation of the Holy Qurʹan: vocabulary, grammar, syntax, derivation, and meanings, all of which are in the field of linguistic knowledge. Since the existing interpretations, both narrative and ijtihad interpretations, are not co-conspirators in facing the linguistic issues, the present research aims to examine the evolution of the linguistic issues from the beginning to now in the authentic interpretations between the two Shiite and Sunni groups and the effectiveness of these interpretations. Explain each other in these topics.
Among the surahs of the Holy Quran, Asr surah, which according to the commentators is the surah that summarizes the Qurʹanic teachings, has been chosen to study and investigate this evolution. In this thesis, the researcher aims to re-read the linguistic topics of Surah Asr in authentic interpretations with the "descriptive-analytical" method, examine the evolution of these topics from the beginning until now, and express the commonalities and differences of the interpretations in this regard. and classify and present the information obtained from this investigation. The findings of the present research indicate that the course of commentatorsʹ dealing with linguistic issues is upward from the beginning until now. In the first centuries, interpretations were mostly narrative, and gradually with the passage of time, interpretations gained an ijtihad aspect, and more linguistic issues have been discussed. In the meantime, some commentators were inspired by the previous commentaries in their interpretations, and in this thesis, the recognition of imitation interpretations from original interpretations was discussed.Among the other results of the current research, the recognition of the most important, the most, and the least discussed linguistic topic among the twenty commentaries, which was obtained during the examination of the verses of Surah Asr in the total of the studied commentary books; Therefore, the most important and the most linguistic topic, the topic of vocabulary, and the least linguistic topic addressed to it, the rhetorical points of the verses were recognized.
