تحليل محتواي كتب درسي پنجم ابتدايي بر اساس ميزان توجه به نقش‌هاي جنسيتي

The purpose of this study was to analyze the content of fifth grade textbooks based on the level of attention paid to gender roles. This study was done with quantitative content analysis method. The research population was all the textbooks of the second elementary school (fifth grade) in the academic year 1402-1403. Sampling was done by census method an‎d the sample included seven books in total. In the current research, the unit of analysis of each (paragraph, image an‎d activity) was considered as the numbered units of the reviewed books separately, an‎d a total of 864 pages were analyzed. The research tool was a checklist. To confirm the validity of the tools of this research, the checklist (list) prepared by the researcher was given to three experts an‎d 6 fifth grade teachers an‎d they also confirmed the validity of the list according to the goals an‎d questions of the research.The reliability of the tool was measured through recoding, which was calculated based on the agreement between two coders equal to 86%. After analyzing the findings from the content analysis of seven fifth grade textbooks, it showed that the role of men in the content of fifth grade textbooks is much stronger than that of women. Examining the frequency of names an‎d images related to both genders in these books indicates that the number of names an‎d images related to men is significantly more than women. The contents of fifth grade textbooks show serious inequalities in the representation of gender roles outside the home. These inequalities can lead to the strengthening of gender stereotypes an‎d the lack of attention to the capabilities of women in society.Therefore, it is necessary for those in charge of writing an‎d revising textbooks to address this issue with a gender-oriented approach an‎d modify the content of these books in a way that presents a balanced an‎d equal image of the role of women an‎d men in society. This can be effective in the generational education of students in order to create a positive an‎d equal attitude towards gender roles an‎d equal opportunities for them.
