The purpose of this research was to present a model of the development of family-school interaction in sports programs with a multi-level approach. The research method was qualitative in terms of practical purpose and in terms of data, which was done using the multi-grounded approach. The participants included directors and experts from the Office of Physical Education and the parent-teacher association, professors in physical education, education, and psychology, parents, school principals and assistants, and physical education teachers. The research tool was semi-structured interviews, which continued until reaching theoretical saturation (10 interviews). To validate the research, various strategies were used, including extensive interaction with participants, triangulation, critical friends, and thick descriptions.
In addition, based on the multi-ground model, the data obtained from the interviews were compared and criticized with previous research models, theories, and findings. All data were analyzed using Maxqda20 software. The results showed that external action conditions included family conditions, the role of the media, family competencies, and family attitudes and interests. The internal action conditions included the school environment and space, management and leadership, the main actors of the school, the rules and regulations of education and training programs. In this research, 10 basic strategies were stated by the participants in the research:1- Preparing a database of parents 2- Student mediation in school-family interaction 3- Honoring parents to protect them 4- Family empowerment related to physical education 5- Spreading and promoting school activities in the family 6- Activism of the physical education teacher 7- Role design for parents 8- Persuasion and encouragement of physical education teachers 9- School and family connection 10- School sport programs for the family. Finally, the results showed that family interaction and participation in school sports activities can have important consequences such as psychosocial development, positive impact on the school, dynamic and refreshing parents, and prevention of social harm.
