Iran and China are two ancient lands with a long and ups and downs history. Each of these two countries had their own identity and culture and ruled over a part of the Asian continent. Considering the geographical location of two lands, one in the west and the other in the east of Asia, the type of communication between these states has had special conditions. This means that due to geographical issues such as long distances, the existence of impassable mountains and deserts, the lack of proper transportation routes, etc., the communication and interaction of these two regions with each other has been severely limited. And it hardly happened. However, there have been many cultural, commercial and trade relations and interactions between Iran and China over the years, and these two countries are not exempt from influencing each other. With the creation of the Silk Road, the speed and quality of these interactions improved and the two nations became more familiar with each otherʹs cultures and civilizational characteristics. The coming to power of the Sassanid dynasty in Iran opened a new chapter in the relations between Iran and China. The Sassanians, who were thinking of reviving the power of the ancient kings of Iran, made conquests in the lands of Central Asia and brought their borders closer to the borders of China and provided the ground for cultural encounters. In addition, the Sasanians were also interested in seafaring and the expansion of trade in the east and west of the world, and through seafaring they also organized trips to the Far East and China. More important than all these factors was the existence of the Silk Road, which served as the commercial highway of the east and west of the world, and a large part of this road was under the dominion of the kings of Iran. By means of the Silk Road, interactions between the Sassanids and the Chinese became faster, and under the shadow of trade caravans, various religions and knowledges and peopleʹs thoughts moved between the lands. In spite of such a dynamic flow of cultural interactions, it should be known that the cultures of the two lands do not stop from exchanging with each other and have a great impact on each other. Studying and investigating the evolution of these interactions and cultural relationships is the main fundamental in understanding the history and culture of the two lands, and without such investigations, our understanding of the culture and civilization of even our own land will be incomplete. This research was done with a descriptive-analytical method and using library sources and it tries to investigate the various aspects of cultural interactions between the Sassanids and the Chinese governments so that through this way it can shine a little light on the darkness of historical issues and to new achievements arrived.
