The purpose of the current research was to discover the components, design the career development model and fit it in female students of the second secondary level in Tehran. The design of this research was a combination (qualitative-quantitative) of sequential exploratory type. In the qualitative section, which was conducted based on the grounded theory method, the field of research included all female students of the second secondary level of five and ten districts in Tehran in the academic year 2022-2023, as well as career counseling specialists in Tehran and Isfahan, who were among They selected 30 students and 15 specialists based on the purposeful criterion sampling method and continued sampling until theoretical saturation. The data collection tool was a semi-structured in-depth interview. The data was analyzed using the method of thematic analysis according to Corbin and Strauss. The results of the analysis of the data obtained in the qualitative part from the interview with the students of 16 selective codes including the underlying factors (the factors that cause the desire to react to the identified desires), the causal factors (the installation selection boards on the road of the career development, time perspective, feedback from others, career incentives), intervening factors (individual role, social role, family role), strategies (empowering the career development based on problem-oriented strategies, empowering the career development based on emotion-oriented strategies, individual empowerment based on problem-oriented strategies, individual empowerment based on emotion-oriented strategies) and consequences (individual job salvation, flourishing society, satisfied and satisfying family), 54 second-level core codes. Also, the results of the interviews with experts including 15 selective codes including changes in the career development (individual and social tendencies), career development concerns (temporary and long-term concerns), underlying factors (family role, education and macro systems), causal factors (occupational and organizational factors), intervening factors (dysfunctional family and dysfunctional school), strategies (problem-oriented strategies and emotion-oriented strategies) and consequences (individual growth and community growth), 39 second-level core codes Was. In the quantitative part, it was a descriptive research design of correlation and model design. The statistical population of the quantitative part of the research included all secondary school girls in Tehran in the academic year of 1402-1403, who were selected using available sampling to fill out the career development questionnaire. Data analysis was done by structural equation modeling using SPSS 18 and smartpls-3 software. The results showed that all the extracted factors have a positive and significant correlation with each other and with the total score (p<0.01). Also, regarding the correlation with the total score, the highest correlation is related to the first factor (individual tendencies in career development) and the second factor (individual ability), which is equal to 0.81, and the lowest correlation with the total score is related to the fifth factor (society). which is equal to 0.72. The Kappa agreement coefficient in this research is equal to 71/. The percentage of agreement between evaluators was good, indicating good reliability among evaluators. Cronbachʹs alpha of all factors is more than 0.7, which indicates the appropriate internal consistency of the factors. Also, the composite reliability check shows that for five factors, the composite reliability rate is more than 0.7 and is a good value. Regarding the extracted average variance, its value is more than 0.5 in all cases, and considering that the combined reliability is more than the average extracted variance and also 0.7, it can be said that the convergence validity of the constructs is excellent.
