Nowadays, the development of the tourism industry has led to an increasing number of tourist attractions and related facilities such as accommodations and transportation options. As a result, travel planning for tourists has become more complex due to limited travel time and varying preferences. The aim of this research is to optimize tourist travel planning, including the selection of desired attractions and their sequence, optimal routes, and the selection of desired accommodations while considering time constraints for visiting them, using computer technologies and electronic tools. This research is practical in terms of its objective and uses descriptive-analytical data. The analysis is quantitative and spatially-oriented, and the data used in relation to routes and connecting nodes will be collected through library-based sources. The operational stages of the research include studying and reviewing library sources to gather theoretical foundations and research background, collecting information on tourist attractions and accommodations, along with their specifications and the information layers of the routes, performing initial data processing operations, processing information layers, designing the problem-solving algorithm, and computer coding, implementing and executing the algorithm using the data of the West Isfahan tourist region, analyzing the data and presenting different travel scenarios, and preparing the final report. The data used in this research include information related to geographical location, the type and quality of attractions and accommodations, and the connecting routes, all of which have been prepared and processed in a GIS system. Data analysis was performed using the Geographic Information System in ArcMap 10.8 software, and the C# programming language was used for coding the problem-solving algorithm. Finally, various scenarios are presented for tourist travel, categorized by season, duration of travel, and travel objective (natural, cultural, historical attractions, or a combination of them) for the West Isfahan tourist region.
