ادهم عزلتي خلخالي، ملقّب به «واعظ»، از عارفان قرن يازدهم هجري قمري¬ است. وي رسائل بسياري در مسائل اعتقادي، اخلاقي و عرفان اسلامي دارد كه از جملۀ آثار او، رسالۀ صحائف‌الوداد و مكاتيب‌الإتّحاد است. از آنجا كه با مطالعۀ آثار اين عارف صافي‌ضمير، مي¬توان به شناخت و جايگاه تصوّف، عرفان شيعي و همچنين ادبيّات عرفاني در سدۀ يازدهم هجري دست يافت، تحقيق دربارۀ اين اثر، به‌عنوان يكي از آثار وي كه از حيث سادگي، رواني و تواناييِ انتقال موضوعات عقيدتي، اخلاقي و عرفاني شايان توجّه است، براي ما اهمّيّت مي‌يابد؛ و از همين‌رو، وجود متني خالي از اشكال و منقّح از اين رساله، ضروري به¬ نظر مي¬رسد. اين اثر، پيش¬تر در مجموعه¬اي با عنوان مجموعۀ رسائل فارسي ادهم عزلتي خلخالي با تصحيح عبداللّه نوراني به¬ چاپ رسيده است؛ امّا انتقادي‌نبودن اين تصحيح، به¬دورماندن آن از تحقيق و تعليق، فقدان مقدّمه يا توضيحاتي در چگونگي تصحيح اثر و معرّفي و تبيين‌نكردن جايگاه مؤلّف در ميان عارفان و انديشمندان هم-عصر خود و نيز وجود كاستي¬هايي در روش تصحيح و به¬كارنگرفتن نسخه¬بدل¬ها در آن، موجب شده است نظريّه‌هاي ناصواب، بدخواني¬ها، گزينش¬ها و گزارش¬هاي نادرستي در متن كتاب راه يابد، كه اين رساله بر آن است تصحيح انجام‌شده را بر اساس مراحل دوگانۀ تصحيح، يعني «تصحيح متن» و «تحقيق در اثر»، و در نهايت تصحيحي انتقادي از اين اثر را پيشنهاد كند. در اين راستا شش نسخۀ خطّي از اين رساله يافته شد و نسخۀ كتابخانه دائرۀ المعارف بزرگ اسلامي، كه اقدم و اكمل نسخه¬هاست، به عنوان نسخۀ اساس برگزيده و در نتيجۀ مقابله با نسخه بدل¬ها سعي شد تا تصحيحي كامل و نزديك به متن مؤلّف، ارائه شود. در نگارش مقدمه، به احوال و آثار ادهم و شيوۀ تصحيح متن و در تعليقات نيز به توضيح برخي واژگان و عبارات متن مصحَّح پرداخته¬ايم.

Adham ‘Uzlati Khalkhali, nicknamed "Wāiz", is one of the mystics of the 11th century AH. He has compiled many treatises on Islamic beliefs, ethics and mysticism, including Şahāif Al-Wadād wa Makātib Al-Ittihād. Since by studying the works of this bright mind mystic, one can understand the nature and place of Sufism, Shiite mysticism and mystical literature in the eleventh century AH, it is important to us to study on this work while it is simple, smooth and able to transmit the ideological, moral, and mystical issues; Therefore, it seems necessary to have a revised version of this treatise without of wrongs. This work has already been published in a collection entitled Adham ‘Uzlati Khalkhali’s Persian treatises, edited by Abdullah Nourani; However, the lack of critical method in this correction, its avoidance of research and annotation and comments, the lack of methodological introduction or any explanation about the method which used by editor of the work and lack of introduction on the treatise and also lack of explanation about the author's position among his contemporary mystics and thinkers, as well as the editor’s defects and slipping during the procedures of correction of the manuscript, Leads him to incorrect theories, misreading, bad selections, and incorrect reports about the text of the treatise. So the presented work suggests a new correction of the treatise in a critical way according two steps of a standard method of edition of manuscripts: correction of the text and study on the texts. In this regard, six manuscripts of this treatise were found, and the library version of the Great Islamic Encyclopedia, which is the oldest and most complete of the versions, was chosen as the base version, and as a result of confronting the copy versions, an attempt was made to correct it completely and close to the original text which the author provided. In the introduction, we have discussed the status and works of Adham and the method of correcting the text, and in the appendices, we have explained some words and phrases of the corrected text.
