خط فارسي كم‌وكاستي‌هايي دارد كه فارسي‌نويسان و فارسي‌آموزان را با مشكل مواجه مي‌كند. اين كم‌وكاستي‌ها به‌گونه‌اي بوده كه حتي برخي صاحب‌نظران از لزوم تغيير يا اصلاح خط فارسي حرف زده‌اند. باتوجه‌به وجود گنجينۀ پربار آثار مكتوب فارسي و پيوندهاي طولاني‌مدت اين آثار با خط فعلي، تغيير كلي اين نظام نوشتاري چندان منطقي و علمي نخواهد بود. ازسويِ ديگر، برخي صاحب‌نظران معتقدند كه تغييرات گسترده در خط مي‌تواند رابطۀ نسل‌هاي آينده را با آثار گذشتگان ضعيف يا قطع كند. دستورخطّ فرهنگستان زبان و ادب فارسي مرجع اصلي براي بررسي مسائل رسم‌الخطي زبان فارسي است كه، باوجودِ داشتن كاستي‌هايي، مرجعي مطمئن و مستند براي مسائل رسم‌‌الخط فارسي به شمار مي‌رود. از دهه‌ها پيش بررسي رسم‌الخط فارسي در گذر زمان و ارائۀ پيشنهادهايي براي بهبود آن مطرح بوده است. داريوش آشوري و ايرج كابلي دو تن از صاحب‌نظراني بوده‌اند كه به‌طور جدي رسم‌الخط فارسي را بررسيده و پيشنهادهايي را براي آموزش‌پذيرتر كردن آن داده‌اند. در اين پژوهش ضمن بررسي تعدادي از پيشنهادهاي رسم‌الخطي آشوري و كابلي و مقايسه‌شان با دستورخطّ فرهنگستان، بعضي از اين پيشنهادها بر آثار شعري و منثور فارسي اعمال شده‌اند تا كارايي آن‌ها در درك بهتر اين متون مشخص شود. هم‌چنين، تعدادي نسخۀ خطي براي اطلاع از رسم‌الخط فارسي در قرن‌هاي گذشته بررسي شده است. نتايج به‌دست‌آمده از اين بررسي‌ها نشان مي‌دهد كه اعمال تغييراتي در رسم‌الخط فارسي مي‌تواند فرايند خوانش متون و آموزش خط فارسي را آسان‌تر كند.

A Critique on Daryoosh Ashouri's Orthographic Proposals and Iraj Kaboli based on The Persian Academy's Manual of Orthography

The Persian script has some defects and shortcomings that make it difficult for Persian learners and writers. These defects and problems have been such that some experts have even spoken about the need to change or correct the Persian script. Due to existence of a rich treasure trove of Persian written works and the long-term connections of these works with the current writing system and script, a general change in this writing system would not be very logical or scientific. On the other hand, extensive changes in the script can weaken or cut off the future relationship with the works of the past. Persian Academy's Manual of Orthography is the main reference for examining Persian orthography issues, which, despite its shortcomings, is a reliable and documented reference for Persian orthography issues. For decades, Persian orthography has been studied over time and suggestions have been made to improve it. Daryoosh Ashouri and Iraj Kaboli are two experts who have seriously studied Persian orthography and made suggestions for making it more teachable. In this study, some of Ashouri and Kaboli’s orthography suggestions were reviewed and compared with the Persian Academy's Manual of Orthography. Some of these proposals have been applied to Persian literary works to better understand these suggestions have been applied to Persian poetic and prose works to determine their efficiency in better understanding these texts. Also, a number of Persian manuscripts have been reviewed (studied) to know about Persian orthography in the past centuries. The results of these studies show that making changes to Persian orthography can make the process of reading texts and teaching Persian orthography easier.
