Mental images that originate from aesthetic judgments, values, cultural framework, beliefs, ideals, convictions, fears, memories, personal experiences direct human behavior and create his future. One of the most important tasks of future researchers is extracting the images of the future and the dominant image on people's minds, media, books, movies, etc. These images include utopian and distopian images and the spectrum between these two. The rapid growth of technology in recent years has been remarkable, and basically technology is a very important issue in human life, which has increased its impact with industrial revolutions. The fourth industrial revolution has happened in our era, and artificial intelligence is the jewel in the crown of it, to the extent that it can be called artificial intelligence revolution. Artificial intelligence is shaping the future of humanity in almost all fields, from politics to economics, and with the change of the world, it will lead mankind to a tipping point. Investigating the future images of artificial intelligence is currently a difficult task because the innovations of artificial intelligence are changing at a high speed. Simulating the future is the method by which we investigate the future. One of the best methods of simulating the future and extracting images of the future of artificial intelligence is speculative literature. The science-fiction genre, as one of the most important parts of this literature, has always presented images that have become reality in the future. This research as a developmental and qualitative research using the method of qualitative directed content analysis, which is a method for collecting data and converting them into categories and themes based on inference and interpretation and confirming or rejecting the past theory. First, the images of the future of artificial intelligence from science fiction novels are extracted, and the results are divided into two groups of utopian and distopian images, which confirms the previous theory. Then William Gibson's novel Neuromancer in the collection of distopian images of artificial intelligence and the Culture series written by Ian Banks in the collection of utopian images of artificial intelligence in the four layers of litany, social causes, the world view, metaphor and myth with the causal layered analysis method have been explored deeply. The result in the novel Neuromancer was obtained in the layer of worldview, unbridled technological capitalism, and in the layer of metaphor and myth, the myth of Golem. In the Culture collection, the result was obtained in the layer of worldview, the communist technological utopia, and in the layer of metaphor and myth, the myth of Pandora, an artificial and evil woman. By examining the results of the two groups, the achievement of self-awareness and singularity in artificial intelligence was revealed, then these cases were analyzed in the fifth chapter. The result was that if self-awareness and singularity means a complete copy of human intelligence, it is not possible due to the characteristics of human intelligence, including imagination and intuition. But any simulation of the characteristics of human intelligence, if used on a much larger scale than the human brain, will lead to the emergence of a new kind of intelligence that may be dangerous
