Mahmoud bin Umar Zamakhshari Khwarazmi (nickname: Abul Qasim), known as Jarallah, is an outstanding commentator and linguist, Iranian Sunni writer and orator, a scholar of various sciences and an influential author. His most important work is Tafsir Kashaf. The value of this commentary, in addition to its 'Itzali tendency, is the expression of the wonders of the Qur'an, its beauty, order, and eloquence. The value of this commentary has made many commentators praise it and use Zamakhshari's opinions and thoughts in their interpretations. One of the commentators who pay special attention to Zamakhshari's opinions is Ayatollah Javadi Amoli. He, who is one of the commentators of the Qur'an and prominent contemporary scholars, a follower of the school of rationalism and an expert in intellectual and narrative sciences, quotes many opinions from Zamakhshari in the fields of literature, theology, jurisprudence, narration, interpretation, etc.
This dissertation aims to examine the way Ayatollah Javadi Amoli deals with Saheb Keshaf's interpretative thoughts in the interpretation of Tasnim and to explain the effectiveness or rejection of his opinions. Based on this, the author tries to find some of Zamakhshari's thoughts that Sahib Tasnim quoted in his book, and by bringing the opinions of two commentators, he tries to outline their views on the topic in question. It also uses the opinions of other commentators to reach a comprehensive point of view.
Based on this, one of the results of this research is that, in Tasnim's interpretation, in two parts seven and eight, there are nearly seventy quotations from Zamakhshari, most of which are related to exegetical, theological, and syntactic topics. A large part of these interpretative opinions are criticized, which shows the freedom of the commentator's thought. Ayatollah Javadi Amoli's reasons for rejecting and criticizing Zamakhshari's opinions in most cases are citing verses of the Qur'an and setting them as criteria.
