This thesis presents a model for the development of artificial intelligence in the sports industry in Iran and analyzes the effects and applications of this technology in the industry. The research objectives include formulating a model for the development of artificial intelligence, identifying background, intervening, facilitating, and determining strategies and solutions. Data collection involved studying documents, theses, various books, and interviews. The present study is a qualitative research with an exploratory approach and is theoretically grounded in the literature review and semi-structured interviews. Targeted sampling was used, with experts and professors in the field of artificial intelligence selected as the research population.
To increase internal validity, feedback was provided to the interviewees, and they were involved in the research process in a way that did not significantly influence their responses to questions. Furthermore, various other activities were undertaken to increase internal validity. A formula with a reliability percentage of 78% was used to maintain the research's reliability, which was higher than the 60% reliability, confirming the stability of the results. After data collection, the coding stage was divided into three steps: open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. Then, the codes were extracted from the interviews and categorized into different layers to form a theory. The results showed that with the advancement of information and communication technology, the use of artificial intelligence in Iranian sports can lead to improved performance, increased efficiency, and greater productivity.
This research demonstrated that artificial intelligence plays an important role in improving performance and increasing competitiveness in the Iranian sports industry. To develop the application of artificial intelligence in this industry, attention is needed to various factors including education, interaction, management, policymaking, and technical knowledge. Consolidating the results and gaining a deeper understanding of them can help provide more effective suggestions and solutions for the development of artificial intelligence in the Iranian sports industry. Finally, recommendations are made for optimal use of this technology in the future and its development in various areas of the Iranian sports industry.
