This study analyzes and evaluates Rashid al-Din Maybodi’s view on the status and virtues of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) in his commentary on Kashf al-Asrar and Iddat al-Abrar. In this study, an attempt has been made to explain the virtues and status of Hazrat Zahra (peace be upon her) from the perspective of this commentary by studying the related verses and narrations, such as the verses of Mubahala, Tathir, Mawddat, Ita’, and the hadith of the superior women of the world, and other verses under which Maybodi has mentioned the name of Hazrat Zahra (peace be upon her) in his commentary. In his commentary on the verse of Mubahala, Maybodi considers the existence of the five good people to be the only people present in this event and, according to the words of the Holy Prophet of Islam, refers to Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him), Hazrat Zahra (peace be upon him), and Hasanayn (peace be upon them) as those who are the “family” of the Prophet (peace be upon him). In his interpretation of the verse of purification, he mentions Imam Ali (AS), Fatima Zahra (PBUH), and Hasanayn (AS), along with the wives of the Prophet (PBUH) and his progeny from Banu Hashim, as examples of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), and accepts this view as the correct view. In his interpretation of the verse of affection, although like the verse of purification, he mentions Amir al-Mu’minin, Zahra, and Hasanayn (AS) as examples of “closeness” along with other aspects, he does not express his definitive opinion about the correct aspect of the verse. In order to confirm or reject Zahra’s view on the aforementioned verses, this research has also examined the views of other Sunni interpretive and narrational sources. The research method in this research is qualitative and has been carried out through interpretive content analysis. Also, considering the narrations that Meybodi has mentioned in his commentary on the topics of marriage, spending, feeding, simple living, housekeeping, and the scientific and interpretative position of Hazrat Zahra (peace be upon her), this research has presented a picture of the lifestyle of Hazrat Zahra (peace be upon her) in this commentary and highlighted the importance of her personality as a role model for women in Islamic society.
